Taxi boot naar Tabarca

In de wintermaanden is een bezoek aan het eiland Tabarca ook een leuke activiteit, gedurende de dag kan je er heerlijk van de zon genieten en over het eiland wandelen. Een leuk alternatief om daar te komen is de taxi-boot die vanuit de haven van Santa Pola naar Tabarca gaat. La Isla Tabarca conocida también como la Isla Plana o Nueva Tabarca, es la única isla habitada de la Comunidad Valenciana. En ella viven alrededor de 30 personas durante todo el año dedicadas principalmente a actividades relacionadas con el turismo y la pesca.

Esta pequeña Isla cuyas dimensiones aproximadas son 1.800 metros de longitud y unos 400 metros de anchura ofrece a sus visitantes la oportunidad de disfrutar de su rica gastronomía basada en productor del mar autóctonos, de pasear por este pequeño pueblo pesquero que aún hoy conserva parte de su arquitectura amurallada que data del siglo XVIII, gozar de las aguas transparentes de sus playas y tener la oportunidad de observar la reserva natural acuática que tiene la isla.

Blauwe vlag voor veilig en schoon baden

De blauwe vlag een wereldwijde waarborg voor schoon en veilig baden.  De organisatie FEE deelt sinds 1987 deze begeerde vlaggen uit aan de stranden die aan de strenge eisen voldoen. De FEE heeft wereldwijd ongeveer 3200 stranden en jachthavens bekroond met een blauwe vlag. In Spanje zijn er in 2009 maar liefst 571 stranden en havens bekroond met een blauwe vlag.

In de regio Santa Pola, Gran Alacant, El Altet en Arenales del Sol zijn de volgende stranden in het bezit van een blauwe vlag: Las Calas del Este, La Playa del Varadero, Playa Levante, Playa Tamarit, Playa El Altet, Playa la Marina en playa Pesqueres-el Rebollo. De club Nautico van Santa Pola heeft tevens een blauwe vlag en het natuurgebied el Clot de Galvani met het Carabasi strand (tussen Gran Alacant en Arenales del Sol) is ook al enige jaren in het bezit van de blauwe vlag.

De blauwe vlag is een kwaliteitskeurmerk en dient ieder jaar waargemaakt te worden door de beheerder van het strand.

Trike in the air

DoYouWanna & Adaptamos Group have organized free paragliding flights adapted for people with disabilities.

The coming 13 and 14 of June this event is celebrated at the Cape of Santa Pola Gran Alacant, Alicante. Already nearly 100 people have registered for the event this year. It is a special event to be held and we encourage everyone to come and see and give support to the participants in the paragliding event on the Cabo de Santa Pola in Gran Alacant.

The event is to improve access for people with any disability to sport, leisure and to be in a community sharing a passion for paragliding flight and to give reality to the dreams of many to be able to fly.

The gliders are adapted to seat 2 people and are always accompanied by professional pilots.

Parapente Biplaza

DoYouWanna y Adaptamos Group han organizado vuelos gratuitos en parapente adaptado para personas con discapacidad.

Los próximos 13 y 14 de junio se celebra este evento en el Cabo de Santa Pola en Gran Alacant, Alicante. Ya hay inscritas casi 100 personas para este actividad este año. Es un evento especial que se va a celebrar y recomendamos a todos de venir a verlo y dar el apoyo a los concursantes de parapente en el Cabo de Santa Pola en Gran Alacant.

El evento es para favorecer el acceso de las personas con cualquier discapacidad al deporte, ocio y la convivencia compartiendo la pasión por el vuelo con parapente y dar realidad a los sueños de muchos de poder volar.

Los parapentes adaptados tienen plaza para 2 personas y siempre van acompañado por pilotos profesionales.

Wereld kampioenschappen Windsurf 2009

Santa Pola is gekozen als de bestemming voor het werelds grootste sport evenement in de categorie Windsurf. Santa Pola zal de “hoofdstad” van het Wereldkampioenschap Formule Windsurfen worden tijdens het toernooi.

Het toernooi zal plaatsvinden in de baai van Santa Pola, op slechts 15 kilometer van Alicante, van 13 tot 19 september 2009.

Deelnemers uit de hele wereld, afkomstig van vijf continenten zullen zich verzamelen voor deze gelegenheid. De toeschouwers zullen de mogelijkheid hebben atleten te bewonderen van het kaliber van Fernando Martínez del Cerro en Pablo Ania Borrachina uit Spanje en Michael Polanowski , Ross Williams, Gonzalo Costa Hoevel of Steve Allen en nog veel meer atleten uit diverse landen.

De mascotte en het logo gemaakt voor het internationale imago van dit toernooi is “Wind”, sportief en met een fris en avontuurlijk uiterlijk.

Restaurant de Tres Besos, Gran Alacant

Restaurant de “Tres Besos” in de plaats Gran Alacant, Alicante, is sinds kort 2x zo groot en helemaal vernieuwd van binnen. Het restaurant is nu ruimer met meer tafels, een groot terras en heeft een mooie open keuken zodat je de koks aan het werk kan zien. De Tres Besos is mooi aangekleed met een enorme foto van de Amsterdamse grachten aan de muur en leuk en comfortabel meubilair, kortom gezellig!

Het menu in de Tres Besos is typisch Nederlands met voorgerechten als stokbrood met kruidenboter en Old Amsterdam, geitenkaas uit de oven, als hoofdgerechten bijvoorbeeld Hollandse biefstuk met pepersaus en de welbekende kipsaté met pindasaus. De desserts zijn ook heel Nederlands en zo vindt gerechten als huisgemaakte appeltaart en pannekoeken.

Naast de menukaart zijn er ook altijd specials zoals mosselen en spareribs, ook niet te vergeten is het proevers menu met een chefs selectie van gerechtjes van de kaart gepresenteerd als een proeverij voor twee.

Restaurant Tres Besos, Gran Alacant

Het restaurant is het hele jaar geopend van 16:00 tot 23:00 en de keuken is open van 18:00 tot 23:00. Op dinsdag is restaurant de Tres Besos gesloten, behalve in de maanden juli en augustus dan zijn ze alle dagen geopend.

Restaurant de Tres Besos is gevestigd in het “Carabasi” winkelcentrum op de kruising van de Avda. de Polonia en de Avda. De Carabasi in Gran Alacant op loopafstand van het bekende Carabasi strand tussen Gran Alacant en Arenales del Sol. Het terras van de Tres Besos dus een uitstekende plek om het einde van een leuke stranddag door te brengen.

De Tres Besos is lekker eten voor een goede prijs en met goede bediening.

Restaurant Tres Besos in the town of Gran Alacant has just renovated and expended. The restaurant now has beside a bigger room and terrace also a great open kitchen where can see the chef working on your dishes.  The restaurant is very nice decorated with typical Dutch/Amsterdam scenes and of course stylish furniture mixed with cosy atmosphere.

The menu is typical Dutch with dishes like bread with garlic butter and Old Amsterdam cheese, goat cheese from the oven, Dutch rump steak with pepper sauce, Indonesian pork skewer with peanut sauce and very very Dutch deserts like for example the home-made warm apple-pie and pancakes.

There is no set menu but there is always a special like mussels or spareribs and of course the tasters menu for 2 where you can try a selection of starters, main dishes and deserts of the menu composed by the chef and his team.

Kitchen Tres Besos

The restaurant is open the whole year from 16:00 till 23:00 and the kitchen is open from 18:00 till 23:00, except for the Tuesdays then the restaurant is closed for business.

The restaurant is located in the Carabasi commercial centre between the Avda de Polonia and the Avda de Carrabasi in Gran Alacant. This is the area in Gran Alacant near the famous Carabasi beach and the town of Arenales del Sol. The lovely Tres Besos terrace is ideal for a nice and relaxing end of your beach day.

The Tres Besos serves good food for reasonable prices and of course with a friendly face! This place is really worth a visit.
